Eid Menu Ideas: Five Menus To Celebrate With

It feels good doesn't it to open up your house to your loved ones? To have them there feasting and laughing is a gift like no other. Getting there sometimes (in terms of logistics) can seem tricky. Today I am sharing five Eid Menu Ideas along with tips for prepping to make that part easier!

Below you will find One Eid Brunch Menu, Two Desi Menus for different sized crowds and Two Desi and Non Desi Food Menus for different sized crowds. Mix and match as you please 🙂 The Menus are in gray and the prep tips in pink!

Prep Ahead Tips: You can make the Keema a day or two before. Simply heat and give "dum" before serving. The Aloo and Chole are also so very quick but can easily be prepped a day ahead. I do love heating stove top for that fresh taste. For the Khageena you can prep the green chilies/onions in advance otherwise it is as quick as it comes.

Bread Kheer

I had this amazing kheer approximately a million times before I knew something so delicious was made with bread! A MUST make!

Make ahead tips: You can marinate the raan 3-4 days in advance, the garlic chutney can be made head. The cauliflower can be steamed (10 minutes in a pot) and then marinated and roasted the day of. The Aalu ka Shorba can be made a day in advance and so can the cakes. Kheer or Biscoff Ice Cream Cake can be made two days in advance.

Eid Lunch/ Dinner: Desi Menu Two, for a Smaller Group

Ras Malai Tres Leches

All the flavours of a traditional ras malai in cake form - make it in jars or serve one big cake, either works and works well!

Prep ahead tips: Prep the biryani masala in advance and cook the rice the day of. The chicken for the paratha can also be marinated a day in advance and the rolls assembled in the morning, just reheat in the oven! The Ras Malai Cake is best when made a day before.

Prep Ahead Tips: Marinate the chicken a day in advance, it cooks quickly stovetop the day of. The White Sauce Chicken Pasta and the Chicken and Cheese Casserole can be prepped a day before too, just bake the day of. The daal palak, kachay keemay ke kabab mixture, gobi gosht, baingan raita, caramel custard, and marble cake can all be made a day ahead.

Prep Ahead Tips: Marinate the chicken a day ahead and make both sauces. The Pasanday/Bhuna Gosht can be made a day ahead as can the Aloo Cholay, the Jalfrezi, the Mousse and the Cake options. Cauliflower fritters can be made the day of and just heated in the oven at 350F for a few minutes before serving.
